About Anna

In 2005 I started Animal Behavior College to became a Certified Dog Trainer and I have been living my dream ever since.  My passion is to work on the relationship between a dog and its owner.  You chose your dog for a reason, or your dog chose you for a purpose.  Either way, you are together and I make it my mission to assist both you and your dog to have the best life available.  My training methods are based on behavioral science using proactive methods following the Humane Hierarchy.  A dog will do a behavior that gets them attention.  The attention, positive or negative, is attention, therefore reinforcing the behavior.  I help build communication so you and your dog become clear on what is expected and what is needed, so the bond is stronger.

Along with being an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer ( ABCDT) I am also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed, (CPDT-KA),  Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner ( KPA CTP), Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for the AKC, and have completed the Pit Bull Internship at Animal Farm Foundation.  I am committed to continuing my education as a dog trainer by attending APDT Conferences, Clicker Expos and Seminars all with the goal of learning how to better my knowledge.  I was a trainer for Our Pack Rescue, teaching a leash reactive class every Sunday for several years.  Then I became the Director of Doggieville Doggie Daycare, where I ran the group classes, Board and Train Program and trained the staff on dog body language, communication and how to have fun.  I have also volunteered for several rescues and have loved seeing dogs find there perfect homes and owners find their perfect companion.

I teach group classes that range from Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, Canine Good Citizen Prep,  Leash Reactivity and One on One Private Sessions.
